Don’t forget to feed the Hungry Lion.
- Have you fed him lately? Kids get especially hungry in the summer. Don’t forget them. Also needed are basic hygiene supplies--toilet paper, soap, shampoo, deodorant, sanitary napkins and tampons etc. Donations are taken to Good Samaritan Outreach Center.
School Supplies - Are you watching the ads? Some of the best sales are not advertised. We’re again collecting for the kids at Good Samaritan Outreach Center. All basic supplies are needed. Donations can be put on the table in the hallway. As always--if you can’t shop--we can do it for you. Click here for a printable wish list of supplies.
Personal Care Kits - Our totals as of July 8 are 297 towels, 188 clippers, 457 combs, 226 toothbrushes, 660 (4 ounce) bars of soap (two per kit). Donations should be put into the soap box in the Fireside Room. The kits will be sent to LWR in October. If you would like to help assemble kits call Kathy (414-543-4911).
Sudsy Sunday -
Sudsy Sunday is the third Sunday when we bring in soap and other cleaning and hygiene products for Good Samaritan Outreach Center and LWR. These can go into the tote in the Fireside Room.
Want to help?  We're looking for volunteers to help sort clothes, pack food and clean.  Please call Mary Ellen,  262-784-1220.
GSOC is an organization of volunteers (all Senior Citizens), dedicated to the dispensing of food, clothing, toys and small household items, to families in need. Donations are received at the Center from churches of all denominations, businesses, schools and individuals in the West Allis and South Side area during working days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
After a very shaky beginning in 1984, and a complete reorganization by Al Knief, GSOC has proceeded with continuing success to help people in need in our community. We will celebrate 21 years of service on December 10, 2006. We run strictly with volunteers. We have NO paid personnel. All money donations are used to pay the rent and utilities and to purchase food that is needed but has not been donated. Our purchases are made at Second Harvest and a local grocery in the community, where we purchase items at a low cost.  We are grateful to Majdecki's Sentry on Hwy 100 and National for their weekly donations. We are also supported by the Hunger Task Force. We are confident that with YOUR HELP we will continue to feed the less fortunate in our community.

We need your help to continue our mission. You may mail your monetary, tax free donation to:
