Coats For Clients - Thank you to all who brought in coats and other winter gear for Good Samaritan. These things are needed all winter and can be put into the Hungry Lion at any time.    All sizes are needed for men, women and children
Hungry Lion - This is one of those winters when people are choosing between heat and food. Can you help? Donations are taken to Good Samaritan Outreach Center. Please feed the Hungry Lion
Have you fed him lately?  Kid friendly cereals,Mac & Cheese,  canned “heat’em and eat’ems“, and the good old staple -  peanut butter--also  hygiene supplies are always needed along with non-perishable food. Can you spare some toilet tissue or dish soap? Donations are taken to Good Samaritan Outreach Center..
Personal Care Kits - Our collection is on-going and soon we’ll start assembling kits for Lutheran World Relief. We have 162 towels, 300 combs, 158 nail clippers, 51 toothbrushes and enough 4 ounce bars of soap for 73 kits. Please help. Can you bring in a toothbrush and a bar of soap? They can be put into the tote in the Fireside Room. Call Kathy (414-543-4911) with questions.
Sudsy Sunday -
That’s when we collect soap and other hygiene supplies for Good Samaritan and Lutheran World Relief. Donations can be put into the Soap box in the Fireside Room. Personal Care Kit items can be put there also. We have a good start on that collection but could really use some toothbrushes.
Want to help?  We're looking for volunteers to help sort clothes, pack food and clean.  Please call Mary Ellen,  262-784-1220.
GSOC is an organization of volunteers (all Senior Citizens), dedicated to the dispensing of food, clothing, toys and small household items, to families in need. Donations are received at the Center from churches of all denominations, businesses, schools and individuals in the West Allis and South Side area during working days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
After a very shaky beginning in 1984, and a complete reorganization by Al Knief, GSOC has proceeded with continuing success to help people in need in our community. We will celebrate 21 years of service on December 10, 2006. We run strictly with volunteers. We have NO paid personnel. All money donations are used to pay the rent and utilities and to purchase food that is needed but has not been donated. Our purchases are made at Second Harvest and a local grocery in the community, where we purchase items at a low cost.  We are grateful to Majdecki's Sentry on Hwy 100 and National for their weekly donations. We are also supported by the Hunger Task Force. We are confident that with YOUR HELP we will continue to feed the less fortunate in our community.

We need your help to continue our mission. You may mail your monetary, tax free donation to:
